Summer Essential Series ~ Let's Be Honest

Welcome back ladies! I am running a little behind from the three day weekend, work is a bit nutty and I meant to post this yesterday...whoops! Mariana over at Let's Be Honest shares her summer essentials today. I have been racking my brain trying to remember if I have ever officially met Mariana since we went to rival high schools and have many of the same friends, but all you need to know is that this girl cracks me up. Scunci black headbands, perfect to keep your hair out of your face at the beach, on walks, at yoga, etc..

*What are you craving for summer 2009?

I crave a perfect beach body, but let's be honest here, I really fill up on my mother in law's baked potato salad. I also love a Mexican favorite, corn on the cob with mayo and parmesan cheese. It sounds weird but it's soooo good.

*What is your essential summer song for 2009?

I will be listening to the theme music from all the Real Housewives series, I can't get enough!!

Song Of The Week: Summertime In The LBC

Back when I was in high school, my fellow cheerleaders and I thought we were super thug, and only listened to rap on our way to games. The more expletives the better. I remember listening to Dove Shack's, Summertime in the LBC on repeat over and over in my 1988 Toyota Corolla (AKA The Hot Tamale). Brings a smile to my face every time I hear it.

Summer Essential Series ~ Sweet Nothings

I am excited to close out this week with Sara & Danielle from Sweet Nothings. I found their rocking blog a few months back and haven't looked back. These two best friends are separated by hundreds of miles (something I am going to need to get use to soon) but both contribute regularly to the blog. I check it daily for fashion tips, flea market finds, home improvements and just to get a smile on my face. I feel like I have known these girls for years! *What one item can you not be without in the summer?

The item we cannot live without this summer is a big tote that we hold everything we could possibly need in! Items we must have are: Sunscreen, the two books we are currently reading, sunnies (the bigger the better), and a notebook to jot down anything and everything.

*What are you craving for summer 2009?

The two items we are CRAVING for summer are a straw fedora and retro swimsuit both from Anthropologie.

*What is your essential summer song for 2009?

Our essential song of the summer is Keri Hilson f/ Neyo, "Knock You Down".

Thank you Danielle and Sara for sharing your awesome essentials. I have been regularly blasting "Knock You Down" for the last week and am sure it will continue on throughout the summer. I also need to invest in a kick ass fedora, and am loving that retro swimsuit as well (no surprise it's from Anthro!). I am still rocking the Maxi dress this summer, they are so cute and comfy! I am definitely craving and would love to own this cute yellow one from JCrew.

My summer song is definitely Right Round by Flo Rida!!!!
