Easter Best Dressed

Ever since I was 11, Easter has always been one of my favorite holidays because of the bright colors, pretty prints and the fact that I almost always got a new dress for church on Sunday.  I just realized that I haven't even begun to think about what I will wear this coming Easter but I after browsing through a variety of dresses, I am leaning towards ruffles and bright colors.

Now I just need which brunch spot to wear my Easter best....

And a very special hug and a squeeze to my girl Karli and the healthy (quick) delivery of her new baby boy Liam!  So happy for The Konings!

Now I am just waiting for the 22nd and the arrival of little RJR...

The Luck of the Irish

Happy St. Patty's to all!  While I am an idiot and forgot to wear any green today, I have many things to be happy and thankful for today including Marge's birth and my parents 28th wedding anniversary!

Hope you all get to enjoy a pint of Guinness or a shot of Bailey's today!

Cheers!

Forever Frugal Friday

I am headed to Denver on Wednesday and I have some BBQ's, a Coors tour, some dinner and drinks around town planned, and I am looking for the perfect dresses to look cute and keep cool (temperatures are supposed to be in the mid to upper 80's).  I am loving the whimsical charm of this Silky Printed Dress, which could easily head into fall with some cognac boots and a scarf.

I also am quite a sucker for pockets and green, and this Solid Floral Dress may just have to accompany me to Denver as well.  I am thinking this with some nude heels will be perfect for dinner and drinks on Saturday night.  Love the color so much and again, paired with some flats boots can also be totally fall appropriate.

Have any of you ever been to Denver?  Any most see or eat places I should check out?  Any killer bakeries or clothing shops?  Please leave me a comment with any recommendations!  Thanks!

Forever Frugal Friday

This past weekend I saw Confessions of a Shopaholic and I have to say that it was quite a fun film. Her clothes are incredible (duh Patricia Fields), NYC looked fabulous (I am dying to go back) and her shoes...don't even get me started. Below are some of my favorite looks from the film.

I mean can you imagine walking out of Henri Bendel's with that many bags? I could only dream...and all that yellow goodness!!! Yes please!

Not unlike SATC, this movie was all about the belts. Cinching in the ever tiny Isla to look even tinier (if that is even possible?). I loved the plaid cape and the bright cobalt blue!

This purple dress had me swooning in my seat. Could this dress be more perfect?

*sigh*

This scene might have caused me to shriek and hold my breath for just a moment. The thought of being surrounded by that many fabulous shoes...O.M.G...

So this movie got me thinking...Miss Rebecca Bloomwood was in great financial debt because she couldn't say no, or resist the urge to shop, shop, shop. Her whole justification for why she shops (the smell, the feel, the satisfaction), I'm sure rings true for many women out there. Which is why, Forever Frugal Friday is so important to me. We should all be able to enjoy nice new things, without causing a major financial downfall for ourselves. So...

I encourage you all to be your own "Girl in the Green Scarf" and make some fantastic fashion decisions (wearing your own green scarf) and feel marvelous about your purchases!

Peacock Inspiration

This beautiful board over at Style Me Pretty has me loving and craving the rich jewel tone blues and greens inspired by the peacock. Definitely colors I am looking at for dresses to wear to weddings this summer. Stunning! Plus those beautiful blue shoes remind me of the shoes Carrie owns from Sex and the City!

Green With Envy...

I am green with envy that I do not own this Alice + Olivia Pleated Puff Dress. It's a little Carrie Bradshaw, but much more wearable. I think this dress would be so great for summer weddings or a trip to New York City.

*sigh*
