I'm Lovin' It

I opened the cupboard in our kitchen at work and noticed this AWESOME mug staring back at me and I just smiled so big.  I have been trying to figure out who the owner is so I can give them a big hug.  It has had all of us gals giggling this week, and for that I love it.

Have Mercy!

I would do just about anything to call this my bathroom.  The pop of yellow, the bright white and light = right up my alley.

My iPad will be taking its first flight on a plane this Sunday and I am thinking I really wish I owned this Vivienne Westwood Derby tartan leather iPad case.  Love that it's pink and leather.

I have been house sitting for my boss this past week at his gorgeous house on a walk street in Venice and have been loving the evening walks with B down the boardwalk to enjoy a beer at the Venice Ale House and the Waterfront Cafe all while enjoying the sunset.

My thoughtful and sweet coworker left me these lovely and fragrant roses on my desk Tuesday morning with a note that read, "Congrats on your promotion! Very well deserved".  Instantly brightened my mood.

I purchased  My Private Jet back in the end of February and just got around to painting them this past Sunday and loved the results!  It lasted almost without a chip for 4 days and really sparkled in the sunshine.

This picture is really accurate of how it turns out and shines.  The color will soon be added to my must always have a bottle of collection.

And now I need your help, should I repaint my nails My Private Jet for San Francisco or go bright and bolder for my weekend?  I am on the fence - any polish color that I should absolutely pick for the trip?

Desperately Seeking Sully ~ Emersonmade

I have been a fan of Emersonmade for quite some time now and been meaning to share all her darling goods with you all.  I was reminded of my need to post this morning when I saw this darling Summer Clutch that is just SCREAMING my name.

I need, need, need to own this clutch.  The size, color and flower are the perfect for the sunny days ahead.

Another piece I am coveting is this Flower Chain necklace in White & Ivory.  The perfect piece to dress up the most basic outfit.  I love the way she is wearing it here (in fact I really want to replicate this look immediately) but am also imagining it with for work when I have to wear a suit.  Should help me stand apart from the rest!

And I really wish that I had planned my SATC 2 outfit better, as this Cheeky Dahlia would have been a great tribute to Carrie's revival of the bold flower accessory.  Again, Emerson's look here is spot on and exactly how I would want to wear it.  Although I am loving it worn below as well....

Another great way to bring fashion into the office!

On a random side note, I always think it is so funny how in blog-o-sphere often you are thinking (or working on) the exact same subject, topic, trend as someone else?  Happened to me today over at Jamie of all Trades (she also happens to be one of my favorite girls out there - so be sure to give her some love).  I guess great minds think alike and we are all thinking Emersonmade is pretty damn great!

Stop and Smell the Bouquets

In honor of Earth Day and also because the board is just too gorgeous not to share, please check out Elizabeth Anne Designs ode to pink bouquets.

I am picking up my sample bouquet and centerpiece this Sunday from my florist. I cannot wait and I am REALLY hoping that my bouquet looks EXACTLY like the top left bouquet of pink peonies (why I decided to get married in May). I also really enjoy the tulips in the bottom right hand corner. I do believe that I will need to head to Trader Joe's after work and add some fresh flowers to my apartment after seeing this board.

Real Simple: Flower Arranging

Back in February I was reading an article in Real Simple, "Keep Flowers Alive Longer" and thought it was quite a useful idea. Two days later I received the beautiful flowers below from Elon and realized that I could put the article to use.

Day 1

Day 8:

The article encourages keeping all the flowers together and just changing the vases, but instead I just broke up all the flowers into different vases so I could have fresh flowers all over the house. I made four different arrangements.

Using the pretty Sophia Coppola Sparkling Wine bottle we drank on my birthday, I placed the three freshest roses I could find. I placed this new arrangement in the bathroom to brighten things up a bit.

I picked up this dandy little vase for $9 at Harmonie Boutique on Abbot Kinney in Venice. What I adore most about this vase is the self help grid for flower arranging novices like me. You just cut and stick, and magically the vase arranges the flowers beautifully for you. A great house warming gift!

I received this adorable vase from my best friend Cassie. It is a tricky vase to arrange flowers in, but once you find the right style, the color and shape really pop.

So go ahead, divide and conquer those flowers!
