Summer Essentials Series ~ Today...I Start Documenting my Life.

Wednesday already?  I just love 3-Day weekends and how fast the move the week along!  Hoping everyone had an amazing 4th!  Mine was just lovely and full of lots of laughs, sun, and general ridonkness. 

Continuing on with the Summer Essential Series is my sorority sister Kris who turned the big 3-0 yesterday and is also recently engaged.  A big and exciting year ahead for one of the absolute nicest and sweetest gals I could ever know.  I met Kris my freshman year at WSU (GO COUGS!) and thought she was pretty incredible from the get go.  Kris is very tech savvy (this blog is about as technical as I get) and always experiencing some great adventures on the sea or around the world!  Be sure to head over to her blog and wish her a happy birthday and drool over her patriotic cupcakes, but first check out her summer essentials below!

*What beauty product will be with you at all times this summer 2010?*

I am just obsessed with dry shampoo. I was first introduced to Batiste Dry Shampoo from several friends, and also on a great blog. I've been hooked on the 'blush' scent but am switching over to the 'tropical' scent for summer. Now not only can my hair be grease-free, but my it can smell like the beach at the same time!

*What are you craving for summer 2010?*

This summer I am craving lots of time on the water sailing. Seattle may not give us the best weather year round, but for two magical months in the summer - there is no other place I'd rather be!

*What is your essential summer song for summer 2010?*

My summer song for 2010 is an oldie but a goodie, "Summer Breeze (Album Version)." This song is perfect for a lazy Saturday spent drifting on a boat. Here's for hoping for lots of warm summer breezes in the coming months!

Song Of The Week: I Like It

I don't hate Enrique's new song I Like It, in fact quite the opposite.  I LOVE IT!  Although I wasn't always 100% sold on his song.  My girl Mrs. F called me at work one day and said you have to download this song immediately.  I took a listen, didn't fall in love and passed on it.  Fast forward a few weeks later and I heard the song on the radio and I liked it!  My apologies to Mrs. F for ever doubting your music suggestions.  Lesson learned.

There is just something about Enrique Iglesias that I just heart so much.  Is his music cheesy?  Yes.  Do they have good beats.  Uh-huh.  Do they make me want to dance and sing?  Sure do.  Is he easy on the eyes. Yup!  Does this song make me want to "beat up the beat" Jersey style?  *First Pump*

I dare you not to like this song ;)

Forever Frugal Friday ~ 4th of July Edition

I am still planning out my perfect fourth of July outfit, and I am imagining something a little like this.  I usually opt for bright colors, but something about this simple dress with the pop of red and blue makes me think of fireworks and the trim at the bottom is perfect.  I need a fedora to keep my hair in check whilst riding my bike, and sandals that stay strapped to my feet are essential.

Summer Essentials Series ~ La vie...J'aime

Is anyone else getting really excited for the upcoming three day weekend?  It is so close I can taste it!  I am excited to share La vie...J'aime's summer essentials today with you all.  I first started following Jaime's blog about a year ago because she always was sharing a little bit of everything.  Home goods, fashion, music, movies, makeup, you name it and Jaime was posting about it!  I especially love her "Friday Faves" which always has me checking out and finding new blogs I wasn't familiar with already.  Her latest addition is "Summer Snapshots" and I am REALLY loving it.  Head on over to La vie...J'aime just as soon as you finish reading her summer must haves!

Thank you Jaime for sharing all your faves for summer!  Calfornia Gurls has been a popular summer time anthem for lots of people (especially guest bloggers to YBB)!  I am curious what you thought of Eclipse?  I also adore Burt's Bees products and a good read over the hot summer days!  Hope you get to enjoy lots of cocktails on the roof deck with friends this summer, I may just have to copy that idea ;)
