LA Eateries ~ Lemonade

(photo by me, Cassie & Lindsay to the left)

Last Thursday, I grabbed my girl Cassie, swooped up my roomie Lindsay and headed over to Lemonade on Abbot Kinney and Venice.  I was introduced to this place last summer by Mrs. R and was instantly smitten with all the yummy goodness they offer.

Lemonade currently has 4 locations available in LA, and offers just about anything and everything for your taste bud needs.  They have sandwiches and hot dishes o'plenty, but my ultimate favorites are the side dishes.  They have quite the selection and every time I go, I try to try at least two new options.

At Lemonade you can decide how many "Marketplace Meals" you want.  I generally go for the 2 Items for $7.50 and ask my server to half the portions of the the 2 items so I actually get to sample 4.  My go to "Marketplace Meals" are:

  • Israeli Couscous, Wild Mushrooms, Parmesan, Truffle Vinaigrette

  • Brussels Sprouts, Parmesan Cheese, Balsamic

  • Oxford Strawberry Blue Cheese and Spinach Sherry Vinaigrette

While you are Lemonade, be sure to save room for the best cookie I have ever experienced in my life!

The Caramel Fleur de Sel Macaroon, is absolutely melt in your mouth goodness.  Salty, sweet, rich, indulgent, flaky and also quite huge.  However, I have absolutely no problem polishing off one of these sweet treats.  I also tried the peanut butter cupcake (skip it - frosting delish, cake dry and blah),  and lemon cupcake (ehh) - my recommendation....skip them.

Of course you would be silly not to also try a glass of their famous and thirst quenching lemonades.

They offer fabulous fusions like blueberry-mint, super-tart sugar-free (not a fan), cucumber mint (my FAVE) and watermelon rosemary (close runner up).  They are sweet and unique and to be quite honest, would make a great mixer with vodka for summer drinks.  So refreshing!

So if you are lucky enough to live close to one of Lemonade's four locations, or are planning to visit LA sometime soon, I really must recommend stopping by and experiencing any or all of the items above.  For 2 Marketplace Meals and a lemonade, you are looking to drop around $12-$15 dollars.  Not too shabby, and I promise your taste buds will applauding your decision!
