Luckily we found that Prospect was open (a restaurant that was on my list) and headed inside for some grub and booze. I enjoyed the savory cheesy grits and a pompelmo frizzante (above) while B went for the prospector breakfast and the strawberry smasher. Everything was incredible. It is a restaurant that I will most definitely be visiting again next time I am in town and if you live in SF, should be dining at whenever you get the chance!

Let The Madness Begin!
{via}And now feel a bit like this.....
{via}
But luckily March Madness has begun.........
......and if the games this morning (Villanova had me holding my breath) are any indication of the tournament to come, it is going to be a crazy month! I have three brackets going right now and am crossing my fingers to get lucky in at least one (preferably one that pays out).
Do you have a bracket filled out? Who do you have winning it all? What underdog team are you rooting for? Villanova all the way!

Go Figure!
Evan/JohnnyHow I am just learning about Evan Lysacek is beyond me! He is a complete and total hottie!
{via}The man was flawless on Tuesday with his short program, and dressed in Vera Wang no less!
Nuccio DiNuzzo Chicago Tribune
And his fellow US competitor Johnny Weir is outrageous and I just love it! And have you heard all the gossip about Johnny rooming with Evan's ex-girlfriend Tanith Belbin (who is gorgeous might I add). A bit of a mind game, I think so...
Johnny is totally skilled but often misunderstood, and the judges may not always like what he is selling.
Me on the other hand, am buying everything he is selling! I watched his performance to Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" and knew that all was good in my book as far as he is concerned!
{via} And you better believe I will be checking out his show "Be Good Johnny Weir" on the Sundance Channel.
So tonight, you will find me cozy on my couch, glued to the Men's Figure Skating Free Skate. I think I may even dress up for the occasion, sporting my new fun gloves that a vendor brought to me today.
Go Team USA!

Summer Essential Series ~ Partridge Family
{via}Good Books, currently reading anything Jodi Picoult.
*What are you craving for summer 2009?
Sun and Soccer. I love this time of year because we get to play outside with our friends and enjoy the sun, two of our favorite things.
*What is your essential summer song for 2009?
I am really into Postal Service right now and Vampire Weekend. Thanks Lynne for participating. I love both of those bands immensely and am going to have to pick up one of Jodi's books here very soon for summer reading. Be sure to come by tomorrow and see what Tara over at In This Instance has chosen.

Yahoo!
My girlfriend Christy sent an email this morning with some great news! Victoria's Secret Pink has finally added my wonderful Alma Mater Washington State University (WSU) to their collegiate collection. It took them long enough! Now if they would only add a few more items to the collection I would be the happiest of all campers. I am 99% sure that this sweatshirt will be added to my dwindling collection of college garb. It should arrive just in time for the 2009 Football Season. GO COUGS!

Forever Frugal Friday: Go Lakers?!
I have officially been a resident of Los Angeles for 6 years this month (holy crap!), and have found myself pondering if I should jump on the Lakers bandwagon this year.As a Seattle native, my blood runs true for my teams, The Cougs, The M's, The Seahawks, and the now defunct Sonics. Which has me thinking, is it acceptable to become a Lakers fan now that my home team doesn't even have a basketball team any longer? My thoughts are yes....
Wearing purple and yellow together has always been a major no-no in my book, due to my rival college (boo hiss UW). However, I am easing into this fan thing and this Fab Fitted V-Neck in yellow and this H81 Crinkle Fringe Scarf in purple will allow me to root for the Lakers for under $15.
GO LAKERS!
